and I have been seeing that with the thicker oils my start up oil pressure is thru is huge, and that with 15-40W I was building my max oil pressure at like 3800 RPMS so the oil pressure relief valve was kicking in kind of early. That was a std crude oil, I have switched to 10W30 Amsoil and I am still seeing that I have max oil pressure at lower RPMS. I may try 5W30 to see how well it works. I been also saving my oil to be sent out for testing for metal deposits at a lab. I do know that on other high performance imports people been using 0W30,5W30,0W40,5W40 with good results.. I do recommend using Amsoil or at least some synthetic I use to use Royal Purple, and Mobile1 but most studies by independent labs on customers car showed slightly favorable results to Amsoil.
