Message Just as a random example, unlike many other Garrett turbos, the Garrett GT2860RS does not come with an o-ringed compressor back plate, leaving it somewhat vulnerable to air leaks under pressure. We have every backing plate machined with a proper o-ring groove and install a high quality o-ring during assembly. The JWT 700BB kit uses the exact same off the shelf turbos as our GT675RS kit, but do they do not take the additional time and expense to o-ring the backing plates. Maybe they do not realize it sometimes can cause a frustrating problem? The fact that we are contantly installing our turbo kits in house and tuning the cars, provides us with invaluble feedback that results in improvements. Even if a product is "good" we like to keep an open mind that it can always be made better.

Unlike many companies who release a product then move on to something else and forget about it, we put a lot of effort into constantly refining designs, improving performance, and cutting costs.

For most people, the time and expense of fabricating all the components for a one off kit is much higher than the extra cost for buying a Z1 turn key kit. Our turbo kit prices are extremely competitive considering all that is included with each kit. I find it very hard to believe that anyone could come close doing a one off kit themselves, if their time is worth anything at all. Not to mention we have hundred of hours in refining brackets and flanges for optimal fitment that you are simply not going to get the first time around. The only reason we can offer kits for the prices we do, is of course mass production of components and buying power in volume. Unless you simply enjoy and thrive off of fabbing stuff up for yourself, it would be futile to build your own kit, aside from being given the turbos for free.
