Message may run hotter than our setup, I would still say why not go with a brake caliper paint with a higher temperature rating than foliatec?

Nothing wrong with your data, but if I am not mistaken, you were running a street pad, even when at Stratotech & Auto-X.

What happens when you are running a different pad that might get hotter (later, harder braking)? I believe you were running Hawk HPS. Jeff runs Hawk Blues in the back and Ferodo DS3000's up front (Stoptech BBK up front).

I would be inclined to state based on your experience that maybe the foliatec product is fine for for street / tight-slow auto-x use. But actual track use with track pads is a different story. Again, why not use a caliper paint which has more durability to temperature, whether or not you need it. It's not like it's going to cost that much more. At least you have something that will work for more demanding situations and your labor wouldn't have gone to waste.

And remember, Jeff is pretty nitpicky when it comes to following instructions and mixing, so I really doubt he would have messed that up.
