ok firstly do yourself a favor and dont get a optima ever again...everone who has success with optimas either drive their cars very often, or live in warm weather climates and store there cars well...i've killed at least 3 optimas between 3 different cars in the past 4 yrs...1 of which was my z this past winter, i found that cold weather without a trickle charger kills the battery fast and you can't get it going again...what i have found that works is diehard batteries from sears, why's that....there are sears everywhere, if you get stranded there is more than likely a sears nearby than say a pep boys/autozone etc. therefore you can bring it to a sears and get a new one either under warranty or a good prorate...but i also find that even after sitting in the cold/heat for a long period of time the battery still kicks over like a champ, my optima would drain bad and wouldn't recover well from getting drained from that damn blue light (alarm). So dry cells do have their advantages but im sold on going with a regular diehard battery from now on (hell its the same price as an optima and lighter most of the time)
