You are gonna get the same reading from the ptu loop or the coil 1. Doesnt matter. The important thing to remember is to make sure that your Z is in proper specs before doing the timing. Make sure the TPS(throttle position sensor) is set to .44, no codes are being thrown and that the car is fully warmed up and the IAVC is off and out of choke. Once all this is done and you are running at around 800 rpms, then you can go ahead and time the Z. Also make sure that the ECU is reading 15 before setting the mechanical aspects of the motor. So basically you want to line up the mechanical to the electrical(ECU).
