most likely you did too big a spot at one time and did not remove the lube spray fast enough. It needs to come off wet, not buff after drying. only cure now (that I know) is to do it all again, since you have already waxed over the mess. Try a small area like a fender, do about an 18" square and dry it like I said, and see if it is not better. If yes, do the whole car.
