Just took my Z into Les Schwab to check a slow leak in driver's side front tire...turns out I was running on bare chords on the inside...not a good thing. Seeing as my rears were pretty toast too I decided for a full set of Toyo Proxy T1-S's. Okay, pretty standard stuff so far but here's the kicker, the Les Schwab technician asks me if my front rims were supposed to be wider than my rears. What???Turns out the previous shop in Milwaukee that put my Yoko AVS Sports on not only mounted one of them in the wrong direction (which I had fixed the next day), they messed up the rims. So for the last 2 years I've been driving with my front rims, with 245/45 Yokos on the back. No wonder I've had nagging leak problems on virtual every tire. It's weird that I've never noticed any strange handling behavior though. Anyways, let this be a lesson for TT owners who go in for a tire change - make sure you check that the right rims are on the right wheels!!!
