babying it should help, but how was it driven before you owned it? A compression and leak down test needs to be performed to determine if your engine is healthy. At this point, are you having symptoms that may indicate turbo or engine failure? Turbos' will cost ~$2,000 (recommend ball bearing over older style thrust bearing) plus labor if you are not doing it yourself, an engine will cost at least ~$4,000 plus labor. If nothing is wrong, perform the 120k and other services, enjoy driving it, and stack your chips cause at somepoint it is inevitable.
