| Swain has many different coatings. Educate yourself collegeboy ;) [ http://www.hotrod.com/techarticles/engine_coatings_review_tech/index.html ] I quote: "The third type of coating is for heat dissipation. Swain Tech?s heat-dissipating coating is a black body emitter, using high-emissivity materials such as copper oxides, vanadium and some ceramics that radiate heat off of a surface. Applied to the exterior surfaces of the engine block, the intake manifold, the brake calipers and about a hundred other parts, these coatings get heat out of a part. They aren?t pretty (unless you like an all-black engine), but they?re functional and very durable."
