got a fair shake. When you have the entire mainstream media harping on every little mistake you make, of course the majority of people aren't going to like you. When the media screams "RECESSION!" at the top of their lungs for two years, guess what is going to follow. If people start to believe there is a recession, they will adjust their lifestyle accordingly and actually cause the recession they are preparing for. Also, the idea that the Bush tax cuts caused our deficits, nothing could be further from the truth. Would you rather have 30% of $1,000,000,000 or 27% of $1,300,000,000? Our tax rates are so high that we are beyond the level where government will receive the maximum amount of money. The idea that tax rates don't affect people's behavior is incredibly ignorant. The biggest problem I have with Bush is that he expanded the government so much in an attempt to be popular. Where am I supposed to turn when the party of conservatism turns it back on me? The only time Republicans talk like they should is when they are out of power.
