I live my life without debt. I own my home, which I paid CASH for, I own all 4 of my cars which I paid CASH for. I have no credit card debt, no loans, etc. I don't make a "ton" of money either... I do very well for myself, but I CHOSE not to get into debt. All debt is bad debt, no matter how you look at it. Until about the 1960's or 70's....if people didn't have enough money, they waited until they did and paid cash for it. Modern society "teaches" people that having a car loan is "ok" or having a mortgage is "ok".... but they would be wrong. If you were to lose your job tomorrow, would you be freaking out? I'd bet most people would. I wouldn't. I have ZERO expenses for debt.
