| Message | I replaced all the O rings that I could get to in the engine bay with a green O ring kit from Rock Auto ($10). I believe I replaced 11 in the engine area. Firewall area, main lines near fittings, dryer area, on compressor itself. Did not get the interior O rings -- looks like there's a couple under the dash. I then replaced the dryer with a new Nissan dryer ($75).
I ended up replacing the compressor ($650) -- after 18 years I figured it was due. Took it for a full service: flush with solvent, remove all old oil, recharge oil, and recharge with R134 ($175). Ended up having some electrical problems, that Dr Z (Shaka Shaun) helped me troubleshoot. Works great now and will be carefree for years to come.
