what most folks use. It works fine through several stages of upgrades. And yes you can have them customized for your specific application in case you have done mods beyond the basics. Like on Zs with AIVs, if you remove them, they can be programmed out. And as you mentioned, if you upgrade injectors, you need to reprogram for proper fuel flow. Stock ECU has a soldered in PROM. So that is why a full exchange is required when you make the purchase. The one they send you back has been altered so the PROM is removable. This make it so you can just exchange PROMs if you need different programming in the future. My understanding that upgraded programming (like now you want to remove the AIV circuit) costs about $100 each time you do it, or you can have multiple changes made at one time for the same price.
