Message The "solid" rear coupler is really nothing more than an NA style driveshaft with a machined aluminum adapter that allows it to bolt on to the TT flange. It uses a traditional U-Joint to attach the 4 bolt, NA Style, flange to the driveshaft and then bolts solidly to the round flange that attaches to the rear diff.

We still believe that overall the CV knuckle design is superior but on an aluminum driveshaft it is not an option, as the factory driveshaft and the CV's mounting point is steel, adapting that to an aluminum shaft would be cost prohibitive if not impossible.

We have now introduced that same design (solid adapter) in a steel driveshaft as a lower cost option to the CV type.
