| I just put the ES master kit and rear control arm kit on my Z. Like everyone else I have gone to the SPL site and spent hours daydreaming about installing their parts on my Z. But practicality and my budget snapped me back to the real world everytime. For about $200 the handling characteristics of the Z have changed considerably. I spent everyday after work this week and all of Friday removing old bushings and hand pressing the new ones in. I must admit that I almost broke down and paid to have the old bushings pressed out. This mod is a PITA to do in your backyard or parking lot as I did but I learned a lot, I didn't spend more than $10 in tools I didn't have and I can honestly claim I did it on my own. If you want to give your driving experience new life but can't afford/rationalize $100+ for each pair of bars I would do this. Most of my bushings didn't look too bad but I had some vagueness in my steering and massive wheelhop, both of these have been completely removed. After an alignment I went for a spirited drive on some straights from a stop and thru some banked 30mph curves. Handling is amazing with such an inexpensive upgrade. I don't do writeups but a jigsaw, hacksaw, hole saws, punches, a light 8lb sledge hammer, wire wheels and moderate patience were my best friends. On another note, I recently had my ECU socketed and installed an upgraded chip. My CEL is on and I can't figure out what is the cause. My car is fed but I am getting a EGR temp sensor code and and injector code. I checked my coils plugs and injectors but have not been able to find the cause. TIA for any help.
