In a years time, I avg ~ 125/day M-F with just work. That's some days with one round trip to wk (~20 miles) and some days that my first meeting is on the coast and second in the delta (chalking up over 500 miles in a the same day). To me there isn't a more comfortable car for highway driving, that is essentially what these cars were designed for, open road - and what a job the designers did with that goal! If it's just you going to and from work, there should be plenty of room. I used to think the 911 was the ultimate car until I drove my first Z. I could have either and the Z was my choice. I'm at about 70K on my TT, orig clutch, my last set of Toyo tires lasted almost 30K. Just make sure you keep your tires properly inflated (not much margin for error here with low sidewalls) and aligned plus choose nice ones (best insurance in the world - good tires), they'll do fine. Granted I don't spin mine, but I do my share of drifting through some pet curves/turns. To sum it up, if you love the car, look for a good one, check it out (have a qualified mech do this as well) and get it. Then DRIVE it to your hearts content! Personally I never got the concept of having a beautiful car and not driving it as much as you like in fear of accumulating miles. To me that's the whole reason of getting it, to enjoy it. And the amout of enjoyment you receive from it is directly proportional to the amount of miles you experience with it. The More the Merrier!!! If something wears out, simply replace/fix it. Just don't ignore prevent maint and don't abuse it. Good luck in your quest, if you are fortunate to find a good one, you will wonder what you ever did without one.
