Rix, Yeah i used to do that exact amount - Nottingham to Sheffield mate- abuot 42 miles each way in my TT for over a year - it had 90K when i started. During that year main probs i had were.
Clutch pivot fork broke. 480 quid
Gearbox bearings started to wear 600 quid
Fuel Pump startd to fail 200 quid
Subframe bushes failed and Hicas Rods 500 quid
about 200 quid of Oil
about 1000 in tyres
and not forgettin the all important 360 quid a week in petrol ! Finally NS turbo charger seized - At this point i bought a daily driver Clio 16V as i wanted to upgrade the Turbos and fix a lot of little niggles on the car - shortly after i got a new job about 20 miles away tho. The car will do it OK as long as you are willing to get things seen to when they go wrong and can live with the Petrol costs on top of the insurance and maintenance.
