Dynamat/Bquiet like materials are only useful in reducing panel resonance at lower frequencies. A small amount in the center of a panel is usually enough. The mid and mid low frequencies that most people fine harsh can only be eliminated with open or closed cell foam. In short, to reduce noise, you'd need cover all the hard plastic surfaces with material backed with open cell foam. DONT cover you're whole car in dynomat/bquiet unless you competing in a BASS SPL competition...if you do it will just make you car heavy, your wallet lite and your car wont be quiet. To reduce road noise, check your door seals and get quieter tires, use open cell foam on your hard plastic surfaces. To reduce exhaust noise get quieter mufflers, there's no free lunch. If you want performance too you'll need an active muffler, adapt one from a BMW, Audi, Ferrari or C6 Corvette. They all use a vacuum controlled valve to by pass the internal baffles. also read this.. [ http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/forums/general/view/1468956/ ] Re-Sound-dampening.html
