Ok I put my tranny in today and I put the fluid in (redline mt 90) before hand. The plan was the leave the drive shaft in the end while I was wiggling it around. But sadly I forgot and when it started dripping it took me a minute to get it and stab it in there. My shit wanna-be assistant just sat there like duh. Anyway about a quart came out at the most and since I live in the Bahamas I dont have access to any at the moment and so far no one around hear even sells tranny oil (just gear oil). The real issue is that Im leaving to go to another island on friday and I am taking my car (already bought the ticket) to get it insured and licensed (its twice as cheap). So there for Im stuck with a tranny thats not full of oil and it needs to be used. I just put in a new clutch and still have to break in the turbos so I wouldnt be driving it hard at all. Will it be ok with the oil thats left in or should I grab what ever I can find to top it off until I get back?
By the way I dont really have a solid way to get the oil in with the tranny installed thats why i put it in before hand and I had forgotten that it leaks out the back and remembered right when I had just finished pouring in the last bottle. DUH
