Well my 300ZX has been at a shop now for nearly 3 years. I go by the shop about every 2 weeks and talk to the mechanic which I know the mechanic, he has done work for me on numerous vehicles over the years and does very good work down to the details. All he has left is putting the motor back in. He built the motor for it and does cares very much about his work and what he does. I took my 300ZX to him right after thanksgiving of 06. The motor had some problems he pulled it and I did a full build and everything and he just takes his time on it and I have been checking with him the whole time. Now it is down to I can pick my car up and pay him $1000 without the motor in it. Or $1500 if he finishes it but I don't know how long that will be. My problem is I don't want to pay $1000 like it is because I am so upset it took 3 years to get to this point and I will have to pay someone else more than $500 to finish off where he left off. Also to top it off the car had some bodywork before and now the bondo is going to need some work and the paint went down hill quick. So now I need some body work and new paint, before this car was babied and garage kept. So guys anyone ever have an experience with this, what would you do?
