I'm looking for a decent ATL and Gwinnett county area body shop. I was recently getting my roof redone, and the crew managed to throw the shingles down on top of the Z (long story as to why it wasn't in the garage, one for another day...). I'm trying to be reasonable and only request that the roofing company pay for damage to parts that didn't already need paint (the hood and fascia needed to be redone already, and there was no damage to the rear bumper - everything else was scratched up). I stopped by a local shop and was quoted $900 for the DS/PS fenders and doors, and the PS rear quarter - and $600 for the whole car. I've seen what kind of garbage work you get for $1200, so I'm not even going to think of a $600 job... That leaves me looking for a shop that will do a halfway decent job. I don't need anything fancy, just the factory DJ2. I do, however, want it to look like a factory job, and not a Maaco crap-bath that will leave the clear coat peeling within months. If anyone knows of a reputable shop that will give my Z a good factory job, I would greatly appreciate you sharing that info with me.
