Message Maybe throttle body coolant heat is just insurance for icing during cold weather but, if so, it's an EXTREMELY expensive one for a production car. Nissan isn't stupid. If they could save a couple bucks per car and get by without this they wouldn't waste a financial quarter cutting it out. I think the Z community is missing the real reasons this system has been in place for 20 years.

Is it possible that this system gets the engine up-and-running more quickly and reliably than without it, ie. better throttle response with a "cold" engine? With so many people doing TB Bypass surgery, I want someone to tell me with confidence they have taken the system out and realized the consequence of doing so was X. And this consequence happens so infrequently that deletion was absolutely worthwhile, or not.
