Who agreed to the contracts? The management of the car companies......so....both the company itself, and the unions are to blame for the insance costs/unrealistic wages and benefits. 1. GM made shit for a long time
2. The government has no place in business like this, and it outrages me to spend taxpayer money trying to bail them out.
3. There are tons of cars made in the us, that have and will replace GM and Chrysler, with better manufacturing, management, etc.
4. "Shutting Detroit Down" is a good song, by John Rich.
5. We should buy stuff made in America, if stupid Americans would let companies and individuals make it here. Obama and the current administration do not want anything made here, as do a good amount of ignorant Americans. Environmental nonsense, labor laws, restrictions on manufacturing, etc, have crippled this once great country. That is all.
