Message	the beaten path. Like FI for subs, sundwon audio for amps, and Elemental Designs to name a few. There are so many great products out there coming from smaller not as well know companies. The guy that started FI use to work at RE Audio as an example. Also for me if it is sold at a mass merchant i.e. Best Buy I feel the quality goes down. Back in the day Fosgate was one of the best Amps around (DSM series) but now I wouldn't give you 2 cents for a Fosgate product.
