| Actually the volume of air a turbo moves is irrelevant. How much power an engine makes does not depends on the volume of the air the turbos pump in. The volume of air produced by the turbos is not factored into the equation of the engine flow. It depends on the displacement of the engine (air volume), rpm, manifold pressure and volumetric efficient of the engine. It's true that bigger turbos make more power at the same boost level. It's because they are more efficient. Thus the same amount of air engine takes in is much cooler and denser. This leads to more power. You will notice with the same car, same turbos, dyno can produce huge difference in numbers from a hot day to a cold day.
