Message Guys,

I've spent a (divorce-worthy) amount of time, effort, and $ on the restoration of my 94 NA. Virtually every component is Nissan OEM, Nismo, or JDM Nissan. I'm extremely proud of that fact and think a clean virgin Z is a beautiful thing....

That all bieng said, I just finally went from OEM K&N filters to a JWT pop charger, and I've had the exhaust for sometime. I'm VERY tempted to go ahead and take her to a Stage III with a ECU upgrade, and I had always thought to go with a JWT unit.

Here's my ?s for your various opinions.

1) In my situation I really want to keep my stock ECU core just becuase I want to, and if I ever wanted to take her back to stock, I could. Am I an idiot for wanting to do this? The $500 core charge is really too steep to consider keeping it. I have yet to find, through Search, any widespread problems with Diagnostic troubleshooting with a JWT ECU, but is there any evidence to the contrary?

2) Given the mess with Coz and the fuel rails, is there a downside to considering a CZP ECU instead of the JWT? The unit $ and the core charge are much better (I can get a CZP, keep my core and still save $70 over the JWT unit alone). That being said, Jim Wolf, in my eyes, is the last word in Z32 performance. What say you all? What would you all recommend?

Thanks,

Michael

And NO I am NOT going to sell my NA and buy a TT! : )
