Message move towards smaller engines with supercharging and turbocharging. Did the cat converter kill all performance cars? If the future vette has DFI and loses weight I'd bet it would meet CAFE...but it would suck. Carbon fiber frame Ferraris?...They would suck. And that's just gas, a VW TDI engine into a lightweight sports car or Tesla/future electric sports cars (here's an electric cobra w/1000 lb-ft torque and the same range as the gas cobra) La-Z-Link would all easily meet CAFE.
