Message I just quit working at Geico(san diego office, and your tow should have been covered; its company policy, to tow your up to 50 miles-"Sign and drive, no expenses out of your pocket", so they say...and they should not have dropped your policy because of the mods that you have on your vehicle...instead, i would call back and tell them to transfer you to EICI, the department where all the "show and custom/restord cars" are kept, and get a policy from them...and there is a field on the vehciles screen in the cust service dept that allows them to add in dollar amounts to mods on your car; granted they will rate for these mods, because if your car is totalled in an accident, they want to "rate for the right risk" and make sure that the two parties involved are covered. if i were you, i would dispute this-in the insurance industry, if your are cancelled from an insurance company, even for a day, they will raise your rates and consider you a high risk driver for "responsibility"...the last thing you need is to have to file an sr-22 for 3yrs for getting pulled over w/out insurance, because then your rates will be sky high, and youll have no chance but to go w/ companies like survival, freeway, and "the general".
