The only reason he did what he did was because he thought he could get away with it (and did for a long time) with his good image. He was a very respected and trusted member and decided to use that to his advantage to deceive faithful customers and fellow businessmen. That is pretty major is you ask me, and undeserving of anyones future business. Once a cheater, always a cheater. That is how I see it anyways.
