Just finished reading an article in the LA Times about California Raceway in Fontana. They have plans to put in a permanent road coarse in the infield. It will be to competition levels and will be ready in early fall 2002. There are also plans to hold driving schools. Cheap Fun! Now for the other part, what most of us do. DRAG RACING! They've announced plans for a 1/4 mile strip along the south side of the main track. They worked with NHRA, to build it for the street legal racers. The strip will be open this year!
Street races: Sept. 8-9 Sept. 22-23 Oct. 6-7
Street Legals are back. They wrote about how the local law enforcement was in agreement with the project due to more fatal crashes from street races. Anyway, we have somewhere semi-local to go to race again. C ya at the track! Mike
