Message For a while now I've been searching for someone who would make some parts in Carbon/Kevlar (all dress up) because I feel the black on yellow would make a good pattern. Despite being able to get almost any dress up part for a Honda in any color you'd want, the Z community lagged behind (probably because it's hard enough to turn a legit profit given the number of Z32's out there). Then I came across a listing for replica carbon-fiber center bezels. Turns out they weren't carbon-fiber at all but made with a coating process called Hydrographics. I did some digging and found that this could be exactly what I was looking for. I contact Hydro Graphics, Inc., out of Newberg, OR. After talking to Marty there I was convinced this was the way to go.

The coating process is explained on their site and you can Google Hydrographics to find a number of videos showing how it's done. The coating is a automotive finish. The owner of Hydrographics, Inc. actually had his valve covers finshed on a race car of his (some form of circle track racer) and they went an entire season with no discoloration or excessive wear. That sold me. So I compiled some parts. Cleaned them, modified them a bit and sent them off.

And the results

I couldn't be happier with the way the turned out. The process required a base coat (for the yellow color) and they actually used the paint code from the car (Yellow Pearlglow). Now I just need to a get a J30 intake manifold and powder coat it wrinkle black.

Note: Cost was $325+shipping for all 8 pieces. Shipping totaled around $40.
