I'm looking for advice. I want a good summer touring tire that will hold up to track day use. I'm running stock wheels. I currently have Yokohama ES100's, they have worn extremely well, driven at Mid-Ohio last year, and held up well. Their off the line traction stinks though, playing on the street, they spins easy but you can't even hear them doing it. I'm not sure about lateral grip since I haven't driven the car on a track with any other tire on it. I looking to spend under $200 per tire. Preferably under $125 but I guess it depends on the cost-benefit... If I could get decent performance out of a quieter tire that would be sweet, the ES100's are pretty loud, doesn't matter for track but for touring it kinda sucks.
