| It's my birthday, I'm in Miami and it's raining. I've only seen a couple twin turbo's since I've been down in Florida, but one sweet, sweet white convertible in Coconut Grove. Anyways, I'm a relative youngin', although I've owned my Z for 3 years now and I've got a couple questions about what it means for the Z to become a classic. So, my TT was produced in July of '89 and I know there are a bunch of US NA's that were produced before then. That's 20 years. What I have been told is that the 20 year marker usually makes collector or enthusiast cars into classics. Maybe there is no set amount of years that makes any car a classic, or maybe there is? Does anyone know the correct answer? Who's the guy/group who gets to pick and choose what becomes a classic and what doesn't? What does being named a classic mean for a car? Do you get better insurance rates, easier smog regs? Still, it will be an exciting land mark for the Z. Have a good one Slainte.
