I posted in tech about how my starter was grinding a good 80% of the time after my new clutch install, and it had been grinding prior with damage to the ring gear. Well, the latest grinding appeared weird as I had swapped out a low mileage, known-to-be-good starter, and it still would grind just as much.. Then I saw the ring gear on Mike's recently posted RPS, and I thought "Wait a minute.. I don't think mine was oriented that way" and I'm kicking myself for not comparing it to my old RPS before installation. I guess it was mainly ignorance.. but I didn't know they could be on backwards. Anyways, here's mine:
 That would probably explain why the starter can't reach it much of the time, no?
