| Metallics as they got warm actually start to loose friction and wear faster and slip more. Versus Carbon that as it heats up it actually starts to grab more. If you look at all the big clutches (used on road courses) you will see most of them are carbon based versus metallics. And yes I know that metallic disks are not 100% metallic but really a metallic-ferrous but they still slip as they got hot.
