Message	that you have to adjust them from up top which means either knocking holes in the covers or removing them everytime you want to make an adjustment. Performance wise, I can't say how the Illumina's compete to KYB. I know that people with lighter cars (Civic's, Protege's) seem to like the Tokico product and hate the KYB product, but people with heavier cars seem to prefer KYB over the Tokico.
