Message I had the exact same setup, same HKS intercooler and also Apexi filters (and airflow meters) in the same location under the headlights, but ran into problems when driving in the rain.

the apexi filters will get damp in that particular location and will let tiny drops of water enter the airflowmeter(s), resulting in heavy stalling/bogging.
I tried everything to prevent water from getting into the filters, but nothing worked and because of the limited space under the headlights there's no room for K&N/JWT filters that suffer less from the "damp filter problem".

I have now solved the problem by getting rid of the airflow meters.
I am now using a MAP based system (MAP-ECU), which works very well.
