I bet also the condensor is clogged too, take off the front bumper and clean everything up, remove the radiator as well. I think you are a on a good path and really not to bad of a project. Heck you even do a new seat and trim kit and have a very nice ride. I didn't see a boost controller but some boost jets and an ECU would be an easy mod.
