Message They are both know their shit and I wouldn't have any problem purchasing from either, but I do have a preference with Charles since he is local to me and I have seen all his products in person. He always has awesome displays to show you exactly what makes his products good and shows you his new products in R&D. He abuses his parts regularly and does all his own R&D aswell, just like Kuah. Currently in the works is a new design adjustable rear strut bar that can be pre-tensioned and an all out racing coilover with stiff valving and external damping reserviors that is in testing (just like the Super Function C's).

I've personally seen the Powertrix arms where Charles cut the heim joints he uses in his arms in half to show the inside of it (and compared it to an actual AMS joint that he cut also). The AMS/ebay one looked like the "teflon" coating on the inside of the joint was painted on (and was actually nearly gone down to the metal in one area, and the arm had never been used) where-as the powertrix ones (and I'm sure the SPL ones also) had an actual thick layer of Teflon (he used some technical term that I forgot), oh and when I say the teflon was thick I mean it, very generous layer. This is the important part that you can't see below the joint dust boots. He showed me an intact ebay arm joint that had been used that had a ton of slop in the joint and was not stable at all.

The one thing that sorta bugs me (just a little) about SPL is that he only offers one line of their coilovers and Kuah doesn't even use them on his time attack car. He uses Zeal Super Function Type-C's. If I were selling my parts I would at least have enough confidence in them to use them on my own car. Charles uses his coilovers on all his cars and tests all his own prototypes (like the new coilovers I told you about).

As for the SPL ball joint being "beefier"...there is a lot of love for SPL over here...for good reason. He has a lot of great stuff for the Z. But the ptrix joint I saw was pretty damn thick (and I'm not talking about the boot over it, but the actual Heim Joint)

I say call up both Kuah and Charles, ask them about their products, go with who you like the most and who has the best deal.
