 1. I only responded to your post because you made the statement that you were using "Great stuff" foam. My post was simply a warning not to use aerosol can foams. Instead, I suggested you should use a self catalyzing two part rigid foam.
2. I have used Handi-Foam; and I am not dispensing unsolicited advice regarding this type of product without having personally obtained first hand experience using same.
3. I used the foam first, to quiet the cabin interior; and second, for its properties as a frame stiffening agent. It seems your objectives are for increasing structural rigidity, not sound abatement.
4. The specific foam you used may very well prove to be a superior product in this application; however, you still have not identified it by brand name, or source.
5. No hard feelings here. It is good that we all experiment with different products and get different results. But after all this, you really should tell us what product you used.
