Message system. The ECU tuning abilities on that platform are much more advanced than the older Z32, so it only makes sense. Many in the Subaru crowd use MAF based controllers which can more accurately measure engine load and when to begin the spray. It seems like most of the Z guys are using boost pressure based systems. Cars with smaller turbos that spool quickly don't really see much in the way of the progressive spray pressure settings when using a boost referenced controller.

The system I'm currently installing on my track TT will not have a separate tune. As you suggested, I will be running a little more boost when the WI system is on and a little less when it isn't. I'll be spraying washer fluid (~30% meth) primarily for the detonation resistance benefits and the cooler air charge in the hot summer weather.

I don't know what the best way to use it on the Z32, but a majority of the threads I've read here seem to indicate most people add a few PSI to their EBC and some have even added a degree or two of mechanical timing.
