It's not designed to be clamped onto barbs. It is only intended for use with AN fittings. I took it off after one season during an unrelated project; it had hardened and was no longer soft enough to get a secure seal around the O.E. barbs. Beyond that issue, the stock fuel line barbs are 5/16"; -6 is 3/8" so right away it's a mismatch. However, used properly with the correct A.N. fittings its excellent hose.
