The woodgrain looks nice, but as a lot of you have mentioned it doesn't quite fit as well as something like brushed aliminum or carbon fiber. Granted, I think carbon fiber is the most ridiculous thing to use in any interior (or anything that the material wasn't designed for), but brushed aluminum may have potential in a non-leather sports car interior. Gonna have to give this one some thought though - giving up the wood.... almost heresy : I am trying to experiment with changing the color of the wood grain components in my dash so they look like brushed aluminum. I have PS 5.5 and I have seen people do things like this, like changing the color of their car, but I'm not sure how to. I dont want to just change the color using the paint bucket, I would like to keep the shading correct and then edit out the grain using the airbrush tool. :
