On paper, the Supra is better equipped stock... better brakes, bigger injectors, better & wider tires, higher boost, etc. I got a chance to check out and drive Greg(Dallas)'s Supra. My impressions: 1) it feels like a Corvette -- the side sills are deep and it rides like a Corvette; it's not a bad thing -- just my impression; 2) when you compare the engine bay between the ZX and Supra, it's obvious that Toyota designed the Supra better than the ZX, at least in regard to day-to-day maintenance. Things that are painful to the ZX, such as changing spark plugs, battery, and turbos, look more forgiving on the Supra; 3) Toyota did skimp out on a few things, including the cheesy tonneau cover, plastic headlight covers on pre-97 models, and cheesy-looking wheels; shame on them for doing this to a $45k car! 4) for an ass that big, the Supra has a pretty shallow trunk; 5) removing the targa on the Supra looked more painful than removing the t-tops on the ZX, but the Supra has a better storage mechanism for them. I used to park next to a Supra at work and personally, the rear of the ZX looks a bit outdated. A set of 99 taillights on the ZX might solve the problem, but there's just something about round taillights. :-) It all boils down to what you're looking for and what car gives you the most reaction. Try to test drive both of them and get a feel for them. Personally, although the Supra may be "superior" to the ZX in many ways, the ZX is like a first love to me. Hope this helps! Michael.
