I understand the co-pilot may have been a novice, but the fact the pilot landed the plane safely, without major incident, after one engine is out (again, I'm no avionics specialist, I'm sure they regulate power and everything on other engines to make it easier, but still), is somewhat extraordinary, is it not? What are the grounds for the pensions eliminated and pay decreased? I would think quite the opposite, as mentioned by my comment.
