If you get the Speed Channel on your TV, watch Barrett-Jackson Auto Auction this evening. You will be surprised how little things (even including documentation such as window stickers, bills of sale, etc.) impact the selling price of classic cars. A "accurate" restoration (or better yet a "surviver" which is orginal and unrestored/unmolested), versus a modified car, can bring twice the sale price. Although our cars have not begun appreciating yet, the limited number of TT's imported (especially latter years) bodes well for these cars for potential future apppreciation - especially if they are kept "original" in all respects.
