Message They designed the Z with special bearings - they are as good as any aftermarket bearing and they are stronger than Z31 bearings. They reengineered the bearings when they designed the Z32 and they used *space aged* technology in them. I know it's not my engine but you can depend on the factory bearings, IMO they are the best solution. I haven't heard of anyone having bearing problems on rebuilt engines. In the event of catastrophic failure a rod or piston usually goes. None of this is on account of the bearings. Invest your money in strong rods, pistons and a good balancing job. You will do just fine.

: I have heard of Karillo before. Anyone know the positives/negatives of going with these?

: Anyone know how much they run ?

: I also heard you can use the Z31 rod bearings and they are stronger. Has anyone done this or heard of it before?

: Any info is appreciated
