| 3180#, 260rwhp, and decent suspension = fun. . . [ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oV3B4SrZcjY ] The track was still a little wet, so this was my last session on STREET tires (not RA1s like the video info says). Comical: Guy at the 5s mark goes into the pits - right across the driving line and lane without signaling - sweet! Watch on the left at 5:30 (between 6 and 7) for the meatball flag for sound violation. I kept on-throttle (all other laps I lifted to keep under 92dB) up the hill past the sound check (between 5 and 6) while chasing Mr. Ford. A few pics:
Test-fit and scrub-in of new 275 Hoosiers (that's my tent to the left of the Titan - can you tell by all the tires?):
I cooked my rear brakes and calipers - again - so "had time" to get a bunch of rides in the GT-R. I was superbly impressed, especially given stock tires and brakes, but it honestly seems too easy to drive. You lose that car:driver:road connection since electronics do so much for you.
The guy who taught me at my first track events (Craig Christy was a Pro7 racer, but now has a Z32TT he has tracked for 18 years):
and it's "toque", George, or beanie if you're American. . . Enjoy, SS
