| Some may flame me for buying a "Cheap" no name brand. But, even high end stuff goes out...so TS! I chose an Asian Wolf brand...which is a rebadged ScyTek alarm. Although it has some bad reviews, it has some nice features.
Some of the highlights are: -Dual Zone microwave sensor -2-way fm color transmitter -auto window roll up and semi-auto roll down -auto run on a 5 speed -continuous run option -car vent mode (cracks windows slightly) -auto kill if brake peddle is pressed -10-digit key pad which requires a 4 digit security code. So even with the alarm fob and key, you cant steal the car) -Auto kill on door, hood and hatch -auto lock and unlock -built in turbo timer -auto zone bypass (alarm will work even if a door is open. if the door closes while armed, the alarm goes off) Optional:
-Glass Break Sensor -Air pressure monitor (inside cabin pressure). If it goes up or down, alarm will trigger. -Tilt sensor (for being towed away). Great for inside sub boxes or attached to headunit. -Dual-Zone microwave sensor -Color Camera, sends image to keyfob of person breaking into your car. Downside: -Have a REAL installed. Had BB do my install, took 3 days and still had to have a buddy who is a certified BMW Tech fix the install (he is an electrical guru). Cost me over $500.00 for install. Alarm remote likes to consume batteries every 2-3 weeks. I am sure there is more, I am just not thinking of it. Links: [ http://www.scytek.net/ ] [ http://www.asianwolf.com/car-alarm-8100rsx.html ]
