Message not as daily drivers anyway. however if the car is in perfect shape and has had NO problems and you do no mods to it it might prove to be a rewarding and fun car to have. Here are the modsthat you can do to INCREASE reliability.

1. replace all hoses, silicone and zip tie them - i believe there are over a 100 hoses on that car.

2. Replace the downpipe / precat with bigger downpipe (keeps the heat out)

3. Replace the radiator with a bigger one.

4. Replace the cat with a unclogged one :)

5. Put in moderate sized cat back (if you must)

6. Change oil every 2k miles

These mods will make the Rx run cooler thus making it last longer. With 79 k i am afraid most of the damge might already be done. (Good luck)
